Target Dollar Bin Flip Flops

Lookie what I found in the Target “dolla” bin this morning!

These flip flops are for my son (not embellished).I used these neat hair ties to embellish my patriaotic dollar Old Navy flip flops for my daughter!
I folded some of the ribbon over and hot glued and also trimmed some to make it fuller and smaller. I also tied some red tulle strips on the flip flops as well as glued buttons. I always use E6000 to attach bows and crystals to flip flops.

Also had to make some matching bows!

I wish you all have a safe and wonderful Memorial day! I hope to enjoy some good family time and lots of swimming…and eating! 🙂

Entire Surfer Room

Here are more pics of my son’s room. I put most of it together 3 years ago before I had a blog. We decided to go with the bunk beds because his room is also our “guest room”, and it really has been a great purchase. We keep the ladder down so he doesn’t go on the top (at least when I am looking.) Both the bedding and bed are from Baby USA (not so frugal, but they have lasted 3 moves in 3 years!)

This table was my very first DIY project. I couldn’t find any stylish affordable kid furniture so I came up with this table. It started out from a thrift store in white and pink stripes. I painted it and used these vinyl decals from target, and then painted a clear coat over. It’s been such a fun space for him!

I recently made these raffia window valances by tying two layers of raffia skirting (ordered from Amazon) to plain metal valances. I did this for both windows. One of my fav things in the room is the wood ore above the window 🙂

I’ve been collecting accessories from Goodwill, Ross, and Marshall’s over the years.

I love how the toy box remodel came out. You can see the before here

I am pretty much obsessed with creative and stylish kid rooms! This one has been such a joy to put together for my son. I hope he lets me create his rooms for as long as possible 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Lemonade Stand & Free Printables

My hubby and I have been meaning to organize the garage and have a yard sale for quite some time and avoiding it all together! Finally we got ourselves together and just got it done before it would be too hot in Phoenix. I was dreading this weekend, but actually it was kinda fun 🙂 Lots of quality family time and reminicing. I have a hard time getting rid of our baby stuff but honestly to be able to actually park in the garage is awesome!!

Here is a last min quick lemonade stand my kids were thrilled to put together with me. I had a left over posterboard already so I put together this fun sign with ribbon I also already had. I found fantastic free lemonade stand printables from Trillustrations, and Wendolonia . Thanks so much to both of these blogs for sharing their talents! Make sure to check them both out 🙂

My kids had a blast and their stand looked so cute and stylish. We even sat out some “Manager Special” clearance cookies for the occasion! I love Fry’s.

Also. the free printable from Wendolonia is supposed to be for marmalade lables but actually it doubles as cool modern wall art for my new lemon fetish!

Thrifty Finds to Fruit Tiered Stand

Last month I found these really great plates and chargers at Goodwill and it was hard not to buy the set! So I bought one of each…and of course some candlesticks to make a another goodwill tiered stand! With the help of some E6000 I love how it turned out!! I also spray painted the first and second brass candlestick with Rust-oleum Oregano.

Here it is today along with some fresh tulips I just received from my sweet hubby for Mother’s Day! What a great guy! 🙂

I also made another pedestal cloche in the same Oregano color because I love it!

The white pedestal cloche is now in the entry way. I guess I really like lemons right now 🙂 I found two huge bags of them for $5,99 each at Ross. Great score, because they are pricey at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby!

I hope everyone has a fantastic Mother’s Day including my mom! (She reads my all my posts and is my biggest fan!) And reads your sweet comments and discusses with me! Ha 🙂

Dora Sillouettes Tutorial & Girly Glam Dora Party

Hooray this Dora Girly Glam party turned out so darling! I spent many hours creating the details for my daughter’s 3rd party and it was so fun to see her having a blast!! This post is to show you how it all turned out and to share how I made these Dora sillouettes. I feel like they made the arrangement so modern and oh so chic!

I picked up a pack of these great Dora wall decals for $7.00 at Target and spray painted them purple. They come right on and off so they are super easy to work with! I placed them on some foam board covered with cute scrapbook paper and embellished the edge with the fluffy boa stuff. The back two are placed on a few poka dot $0.50 place mats I found on Easter clearance from Fry’s grocery store. I tied together with matching ribbon. Super easy and cute!

Smucker’s Uncrustables fit right in with the purple and white! I found the perfect carrier at Goodwill for $1,99, sprayed it white and added ribbon and tulle.

You can read my 2 previous posts on how I made other details here and here.

Fry’s did a great job on the simple cupcakes! They were way yummy whipped topping ones 🙂 And yes that’s one of my Goodwill dessert stands in action!

Tissue poms are always a must!!

Yep those are purple Peeps on Easter clearance!!

Grandma Rita made this adorable tutu!

I made this cute outdoor area by decorating our toddler table and making very quick chair slipcovers, and table cloth by cutting up some old matching sheets. My daughter wouldn’t wear her tutu so I had it on one of the chairs! This is where we sang happy birthday 🙂

Everyone had a fantastic time because of my decorations!! It had nothing to do with this…..

Ha, well maybe a little!

Hope you enjoyed the party Miss Lily Jane..your mom sure loves you!
