I struggle with organizing and am always trying to improve that part of life, so today I’m excited to share some images of my current pantry and proud that it looks the same a month after these photos! I’ve done a couple pantry makeovers on my blog because we’ve moved quite a bit, but this is the largest pantry we’ve ever had and I admit…it’s pretty fantastic. The only thing is, it’s super easy to just throw clutter in and shut the door! Ha
That’s probably the reason it’s looked like this for the last year! See before/after photos below.
I started by collecting more baskets from thrift stores. Below is an photo I shared via Instagram of some from my local Goodwill. That’s my number one place I go to for baskets and they are priced at a couple dollars.
I also started collecting clearance trays and baskets from discount stores like Ross. It’s helped me to keep like items together and separated. The file organizer turned out perfect for canned goods, see photo below.
I am a fan of lazy susan organizers, so I have a couple of those. (Look at the green one from Goodwill!) Love.
It was important to me to have the paper plates, cups, napkins, cutlery, and plastic bags organized and ready for my kids to help make lunches and meals. I also have all their snacks together in one basket.
Instead of just dropping the paper towels and toilet paper from Costco, I bought some stylish metal bins from Ross to throw them in.
And yes I have a lot of appliances! Remember, I am a food blogger as I remind my husband quite often 🙂
Thanks for stopping in to see my pantry makeover today! Hopefully we can keep it together for awhile. 🙂 Are you great at organizing your pantry? Share your tips with us!
We’ve been slowly working on some additional lighting in our home and also recently replaced our ten your old dark brown dining room table with a new one from a beautiful new store that just opened by me called DownEast Home. It’s kind of like a HomeGoods but with larger pieces of furniture! I was in there three times last week! ha ha
Anyway, we found this very nice designer table on clearance because it was missing a leaf and had a few minor scratches. I’ve always wanted a farmhouse style table and it looks fantastic in our space. The planked wood look is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for.
I moved these chairs from the kitchen in here, and will use the old dining room chairs in the kitchen with some cute chair covers I ordered that are on the way. I still LOVE these pretty Spanish style chairs I found at a local antique store and painted last summer. They were a steal and so unique! I get compliments on them all the time.
The end chairs are our old dining chairs. I’m using these cute ruffle chair covers found at Target.com. Looking at them I should probably bust out the iron! Oops. 🙂
I looked all over the internet and local stores for affordable and stylish lighting! That is hard to do because lighting can be hundreds of dollars! I fell in love with these Pottery Barn inspired outdoor lanterns from amazon. The price fluctuates between $109-$120/ each for these, and they look awesome!

What do you think? Before we just had recessed lighting, but I love how the two hanging fixtures completely transforms the space and adds some style and interest. 🙂
We will be painting the walls in here this summer as well as our hutch, so as always it’s a work in progress. 🙂 Thanks for stopping in!
