Fancy Frugal Girly Pink & Aqua Bedroom

Fancy Frugal Life Girl's Room

Hi there! It’s been awhile! Turns out it’s a little hard to work full time for another website and keep up my own. 🙂 If you’re curious what I’ve been up to, make sure to follow me over at Hip2Save.com. I’ll be blogging and updating their recipes page– http://hip2save.com/recipes/

Recipes at Hip2Saveas well as the crafts and DIY projects.–http://hip2save.com/diycrafts/. I’ve been doing some fun Valentine’s Day class printable ideas and lots of cooking!

We’ve been in this house for a year in a half and I haven’t shown too much of my daughter’s space. It was in a room with beige walls a few years ago in a previous house. And if you remember, decorating her room is what originally sparked my interest in blogging a few years ago. I remember staying up late at night searching through beautiful home décor blogs and websites, before Pinterest, gathering inspiration on how to decorate frugally.

Her dressers and night stand are from Craigslist, and mini toile lounge chair a favorite 2nd hand find. Her beautiful ruffled bedding was just $30 from HomeGoods, along with the white furry rug she recently couldn’t live without the last time we were there. 🙂 The vintage mirror was a great flea market find, and I was able to reuse a lot of the details from her nursery as a baby on this gallery wall.

There’s so much of my daughter’s personality in here, which I LOVE.. She adores anything pink, a big fan of ruffles, also loves elephants, picture books, and is obsessed with dance. In fact this year she is on the competition team with her dance studio for the first time! I don’t think there’s anything cuter than little ones dancing 🙂

Ikea Photo Shelf

These walls were already this blue when we moved in and I think her things look really pretty in here! Today we put up this fun white shelf from Ikea, I think it’s meant to hold picture frames, but picture books look so cute on it! If she had more room I’d do a whole wall with these shelves! So cute with the books..
The photo below is her very first tutu from her one year old photo shoot on the left. I spray painted an old frame pink and hung the tutu inside, above her bed. I just couldn’t part with it and love this idea to incorporate it in her room!

Love this sweet little hand painted antique bed! It has been perfect for her. And as you can see by the scratches, well loved!

l remember skipping out of Hobby Lobby spending only $3.00 each on those pink pillows with large white flowers. The turquoise and beige curtains are a recent purchase from Kirkland’s. I love them in here.

Thanks so much for stopping by my little one’s girly room today! So much thought and love was put into this tiny space and I’m glad to be able to share it with you and to document it for my sweet girl. Here she is below at her first dance recital this summer. Time is flying by and I am hanging on to these special memories 🙂

  1. Oh what a cute room! And thanks for sharing the part about Craigs List. My little girl, now all grown up, has raved about using Craigs list for shopping for furniture. I really must try it. Have a grand week.
