2 Healthy Easy Appetizer Ideas

This past weekend I had so much fun partnering with Kirkland’s for their grand opening event near me. I served these appetizers, and talked home decorating with such nice customers. Here is me with Lacey, part of the PR team for Kirkland’s.

She is super sweet and we had fun going through the store discussing our favorite finds!Kirkland's event

I love those bags of mini sweet bell peppers from Costco, don’t you? For this easy appetizer idea all I did was cut them in half and pipe hummus on top with a pastry bag.

They look so fancy and cute, and taste delish!

The caprese salad on a stick idea I saw on Pinterest via Terri’s Table.

Caprese Salad on a Stick

I used these great bamboo forks found at Party City and skewered a grape tomato, basil leaf, and piece of fresh mozzarella. Super easy and great tasting.

We used this pretty Kirkland’s serving dish and put the olive oil and balsamic vinegar in the middle for dipping the “salad”. Both apps were a big hit! People kept telling me they appreciated this healthy snack option.

Let’s talk about how Kirkland’s has some really nice stuff! I spotted these pretty peacock inspired decor pieces and loved.

I just want all the pretty things! Look at all the owls. Love it.

I made a photo canvas to display the name of my blog with some of  examples of the projects I’ve done and so many nice people said “Oh is this your book?”

Ha no. but that does make a good book cover 🙂

  4. Thanks for the attribution. I appreciate it. I really like your idea of serving the olive oil and balsamic separately, just in case someone doesn’t like the flavors or doesn’t want the extra calories. Great idea!
